Amaral is one of the biggest acts in their native Spain and is set to take the rest of the world by storm. Selling over 2 million albums worldwide and packing out shows of more than 20,000, they have established themselves as the dominant rock and roll act in Spain. Beginning their journey in Zaragoza, Eva Amaral and Juan Aguirre brought their considerable musical talent together in 1993 for what they called the Amaral Project. Starting out small, they took their self written songs anywhere and everywhere that would place them in the company of bands with more notoriety.

By 2000, with the release of their album, Una Pequena Parte Del Mundo, Amaral began to seep into Spain’s cultural conscience as their melodies and good reviews allow songs like “Cabecita Loca” and “Como Hablar” became ever lasting anthems. Amaral gained more ground in 2002 as their album, Estrella De Mar, included singles already embedding in popular culture. It is with this album that they won 5 Premios De La Musica (Spanish Music Awards) for Best Pop Album, Best Song, Best Pop Song, Best Breakthrough Songwriter, and Best Breakthrough Act. Amaral also won Best Song for “Sin Ti No Soy Nada” at the 2002 Premio Ondas (Ondas Awards) and Best Spanish Act at the 2002 MTV Europe Awards.

With high ancipation, Amaral released their next album in 2005. Pajaros En La Cabeza went directly to number one on Spain’s pop/rock charts and stayed there for an astonishing two consecutive years, obliterating all other historic records. Again, Amaral was lauded with praise and took home the honors of having the best selling album in Spain of 2005. They won Best Album, Best Song, and Best Video at the 2005 Spanish Music Awards, Best Album at the 2006 Ondas Awards, and were nominated for Best Pop Album at that year’s Latino Grammy Awards.

2008 saw them releasing Gato Negro-Dragon Rojo. Their first double album, Amaral where Eva and Juan begin to truly mature and allow they approach their music in an organic and conceptual manner. It gave a glimpse at an ever present and growing depth that would allow them to cement their place as one of Spain’s greatest rock acts ever. The accompanying tour was the most successful of the year and when awards season approached, Amaral was at the top of everyone’s list. Gato Negro-Dragon Rojo went to number one in the first week and was awarded Platinum status. They won best song at the 2008 Ondas Awards, Best Spanish Act at the MTV Awards, Best Band at the Musica Aragonesa Awards, the 2008 Cadena Dial Award, and Best Album at the 2008 Spanish Music Awards.

In short, Amaral is one of the greatest bands in the world. Their live performance is a testament to their hard work ethic and dedication to their craft, as its one of the most thrilling on the planet. Eva Amaral’s voice is melodic, chilling, beautiful, and strong as she croons in a sweet delivery that will leave the listener mesmerized with their heart in their throat. The bands compositions are as cerebral as they are visceral. With fine technical orchestration, coupled with raw talent and energy, they find just the right way to keep the audience totally engrossed with the tapestry they weave. Amaral shows no signs of slowing down or resting on their laurels as they begin the journey to truly take over the world.
