Brenn

Brenn

By: Tim Roberson

Brenn was born in a college dorm, as many bands are. The friendship of Johnny Gradone and Joel Larabell gave rise to the band after Larabell's persistence on joining Gradone's blossoming music project. And so came Brenn.

With dynamic layers, Brenn blasts into auditory motion with colors and rhythms that are both brilliant and beautiful. Their powerful wall of sound swells the emotions and adrenaline of their listeners as it crescendos and lulls, creating a roller coaster ride of awesome. Breaking out of a Nashville music scene packed with talent, Brenn is building a following of devoted fans and converts with each new ear they pull.

Bringing the audience high with head nodding, driving beats from the tight rhythm section of Nathan Hufford on drums and Jeff Schuette on bass with dancing guitar riffs and tight chord changes from Jonny Gradone, Brenn couples that with the soaring vocals of Joel Larabell that are powerful and attention grabbing. Brenn also is bringing back the synthesizer, rock on!

Across the country, Brenn is starting to gain traction with play on Pandora and over 300 college radio stations. With an invitation by the US Armed Forces to perform on the 4th of July last year in Turkey where they played two packed out shows, the band is spreading its uniquely well orchestrated sound to new listeners daily across the globe. The  band has also had prominent placement on television, with features on shows such as The Kardashians and the Real World. Brenn will be a showcasing artist at this years South by Southwest in Austin, TX and are nominated to compete in the "Road to Bonnaroo" contest in Nashville, TN.

Brenn's sound is ultimately unique to the times and yet reminiscent of great pop acts of old. Their sound is energetic, powerful, and sweeping while being completely accessible to the casual listener, hardcore fan or jaded music journalist. By the growing buzz around this band, something is soon to break. The guys are currently in the studio recording their newest release, their first full album. As the band gains attention, look for them to break open wide.
