Glossary

Glossary

By: Tim Roberson

The Murfreesboro based band, Glossary has had a long road to find the original sound that they call their own. From its conception many years ago as a punk band, Glossary has grown in musical influence and maturity to the great Southern rock n roll that they produce with seeming effortlessness.

Singer Joey Kneiser takes the lead songwriting duties and crafts music that is heartfelt and that engenders the powerful American spirit. Their Southern flavored rock touches base nationwide as the band tours relentlessly across the country. The tight sound produced by band members, Bingham Barnes on bass, Todd Beene on backing guitar, steel and vocals, Eric Giles on drums work magically around the lead duo of Joey and Kelly Kneiser.

Joey Kneiser's voice is at once gravely and at other times smooth as butter as Kelly Kneiser drops in the harmonies that add that special sound to the vocal melodies. The sound moves from gospel chic to R&B groove and never misses a note, step, or sound. Live, the band is spot on in every respect, revealing one of their major strengths. Their powerful performances have garnered them tours with some of the biggest names in the region and gigs at big name venues.

Their latest effort, Feral Fire, was recorded in a ten day power session and truly exemplifies Glossary's uncompromising musical talent. Its just the latest in their decade long crusade in music, and their experience and musical evolution is apparent. Glossary continues to tour steadily and can be found at a club near you.
