Ke$ha Album Review
Ke$ha Album Review " Animal"
The new album from Ke$ha is a true pop album masterpiece from the producer, Dr. Luke. At the time he heard her music, he was working on the remake of the 1985, Dead or Alive hit, "Right Round." Dr. Luke wanted Ke$ha to sing on the on the record, and this was the beginning of her professional career.
Animal took shape quickly, as many of the songs, including "Boots and Boys" and "Dinosaur" were written over three years earlier. Recording in bits and pieces in a number of different locations from Nashville to L.A. to New York. Ke$ha joined the Dr. Luke talent pool and collaborated with veteran hit-maker Max Martin, as well as song writer / producer Benny Blanco, with whom she wrote "Blah Blah Blah."
The YouTube hits alone for the music video of "Tik Tok" are astonishing at over 50 Million. This just illustrates the thirst and hunger in the market place for music that is fun, can be danced to, or just cranked up in the car while out cruising about town.
Unlike the Taylor Swifts of the world, Ke$ha knows who she is on this album and knows the generation that she is talking to. Everything is not always rainbows and butterflies and partying is a part of the real world in the youth of America. Its safe to say she is the Bizzaro World Taylor Swift and brings the angst that has been seemly missing from pop music for a long while.
This is the first true pop album since the the 1980's and the likes of Madonna. It blends the angelic vocals of Imogen Heap with the angst filled cries of Alanis Morissette all with a beat you can dance to. The album shows that when artists stick to a true pop sound, using the amazing set of tools available today, while bringing talent to the project, they are able to put an album out to the world that is worth purchasing. Listen to Ke$ha and in no time flat you will be hooked.
