Larkin Poe

Larkin Poe

By: Tim Roberson

The ladies of Larkin Poe started their carreer called simply the Lovell Sisters.  Rising Americana stars, Megan and Rebecca Lovell shine in the spotlight as they follow their passion. They are exemplified performers and are known for both their amazing playing and their vocal harmonies. The Georgia natives have grown up musically, ever developing their musical symmetry that shimmers on stage.

The beats and rhythms are a wonderful older style that has long been missing in modern music. Bluegrass influences dance with a contemporary flair to produce something original among the cookie cutter offerings apparent today. The ladies work to create unique blends of rock, pop, and that Americana sound to build a new style that is all their own.

Their voices are smooth as stretched cellophane, rising and falling among the well constructed sounds created by their steady backing band of Daniel Kimbro, Mike Seal, and Chad Melton. Larkin Poe are moving Americana forward in a brand new direction that looks to put the genre on its ear. They are currently working on their debut under the new moniker, Larkin Poe, watch for it soon.
